FAQ

We are here to help answer any of your questions! Email our team with questions about our upcoming VBS.

Drop Off:

Drop-off will begin at 8:45 a.m. Monday-Friday. Each morning, parents will need to park and drop off their VBS kids  in the Sanctuary with their Group Leader.  Groups are identified by a color and number.  Greeters will be available to guide you.

Pick Up:

For your child’s security, we’re implementing a ticket system for pickup. When you drop off your child Monday morning, you’ll receive a pickup slip that matches your child’s name tag. Please keep this slip with you for the entire week.  The only way to pick up your child is with this ticket or a clear photo of it on your phone. This system helps us ensure every child goes home with an authorized person. If you lose your slip, please bring a photo ID to the Connect Center  and our staff will assist you. As we promised, safety first!

After closing worship, parents (or their designee) can pick up children from their group leaders in the Sanctuary, where you’ll sign them out on their sign-out sheet at 12:00 p.m. Remember: you (or your designated pick-up person) will need to present your child’s Planning Center pickup slip (or a digital copy) in order to pick up your child.

Early Pick Up:

If you need to pick your child up early, please come to the Connect Center. There will be a staff member there throughout the week, and they can help facilitate pick up.

Our daily snack selections are as follows:

We are peanut free but we realize there are food allergies we may not be able to steer clear of, so if your child needs something different than what is being offered each day, we ask that you send that with him/ her DAILY with his/ her name clearly marked on a disposable ziplock bag.  Thank you!

Please note that these selections may change depending on availability.

Monday: String Cheese, Orange Slices, Animal Crackers
Tuesday:  Hummus, Carrot Sticks, Pretzels
Wednesday: Beef Sticks, Bananas, Gold Fish Crackers
Thursday:  String Cheese, Applesauce Pouches, Pirates Booty
Friday: Yogurt, Watermelon, Bugles

Stay tuned!

8:45 a.m.–8:55 a.m. Drop off in the Sanctuary/Plaza

9:00 a.m.–11:40 a.m. Each day includes a large group main teaching, skits, songs and games. We then move to station rotations which include crafts, snacks/outdoor recreation, and “Spotlight Bible Adventure” where we’ll dig in to the daily Bible lesson.

11:40 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Each day ends with our large group high-energy worship. Parents are welcome! Please join us in the Sanctuary balcony to watch your kids have a blast as they sing and dance.

*Please note that Kindergarteners will be dismissed from their classrooms, not the Sanctuary. We ask that you pick up 1st – 6th graders before going to pick up Kindergarteners.

This year, our Mission Focus is called “BOOKS FOR BAJA!”

We are collecting books for a LIBRARY in Mexico for our Missions Partner: “FOUNDATION FOR HIS MINISTRY”  in Baja and Oaxaca Mexico.  This ministry is a safe haven for many at risk children, and we are delighted to provide both SPANISH and SPANISH/ ENGLISH books for all ages for these children.

Please note:  this is not a contest!  We are asking each child at VBS to bring ONE BOOK, so that every child at VBS will have the opportunity to participate.

Click here for a list of all approved books.

There will be a BOOKCASE marked BOOKS FOR BAJA on the Plaza where children can drop off their books when they arrive.  We will also learn more about “Foundation for His Ministry” on Tuesday during our Craft Rotation, and students will have the opportunity to make a BOOKMARK and write notes to the children receiving their books.

Parking is available in the St. Andrew’s Parking Lot. Street parking is also permitted; however, guests are advised to observe all posted signage and local parking regulations.

Please apply sunscreen to your child each morning, and send a sweatshirt / sweater if the weather is cool.  WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES! (Our Recreation area is asphalt!) Water bottles are not necessary.  We have multiple water stations all throughout our campus. If your child needs his/ her own water bottle, you may send a SMALL 8-10 oz water bottle that is labeled with name.

Stay tuned!
