The Vine Comes To St. Andrew’s!

September 25, 2013 0 Share

John 15:5  “I am the vine, you are the branches, he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me, you can do nothing.”

Breaking news: “The Vine”, a vibrant women’s Bible Study, has come to St. Andrew’s and we want YOU to join us! Formerly known as the Heritage House Bible Study, “The Vine” is a place where women in different stages of spiritual growth can find community, build relationships and stay connected to the TRUE vine.  Some women are new to the faith – or in the process of “being pruned,” while others are going deeper in their walk and “bearing fruit.”  Either way, all women agree that apart from Him, we can do nothing, but through Him, ALL things are possible!

This bible study originated five years ago at the Heritage House in Westside Costa Mesa.  The Heritage House is a 6-month residential drug and alcohol treatment program for women who are pregnant and/or have children. The bible study previously met offsite, while volunteers cared for the children at the facility.  As of last Friday, both the women’s and children’s ministry moved to the St. Andrew’s Campus.  It’s wonderful to be together in one place, and St. Andrew’s is pleased to extend some extreme hospitality!  A group of 16 women, from both Heritage House and St. Andrew’s, gathered for our first meeting to open God’s word and study Ephesians 3. They discussed what it really means to be “filled to the measure of all the fullness of God”. Testimonies were shared and many were encouraged. We would love to be an encouragement to you as well, so please accept this invitation to join us!

The Vine meets every Friday (excluding Holidays), from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. in Stewart Lounge.  We would love to see you there.

Please note volunteers are needed in the children’s ministry and the women’s ministry (driving and/or teaching). Commitments can be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly!
