Recent Developments in Vietnam

July 16, 2013 0 Share

For the past two years, St. Andrew’s has been blessed to partner with Pastor Vu in Vietnam, distributing wheelchairs to the disabled and supporting his pastoral formation ministry.  Pastor Vu leads an underground Bible college in Ho Chi Minh city which provides quality, intensive Bible education and pastoral training to student leaders—empowering them to spread the Gospel and minister to those in need throughout Vietnam.  This year St. Andrews was again honored to bless Pastor Vu’s ministry with much needed funding.  Recently, we received an update that with those funds, Vu and his team were able to build a new church for the congregation and ministry of a Cambodian pastor who just recently graduated from the Bible college and received his pastoral license.  In addition to providing a space for worship services, this new church will also be used to train other leaders of local churches in Vietnam.  The pictures below show the community rallying together to build the new church and the first worship service held in the new church building.  It is so exciting to see that church community is happening all around the world.

St. Andrew’s will once again be partnering with Free Wheelchair Mission on our third trip to South Vietnam, September 27 – October 5, 2013. Applications are due this Friday, July 19, 2013. If you feel called to join the team, submit your application now!
