Loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength…in short everything! That was the theme of this last weekend’s Jr. High winter camp at Forest Home. We took 44 students to winter camp this year where they were challenged to love God with every part of themselves and in every part of their lives. You might be surprised how much stuff you do in a camp that lasts from Friday afternoon to noon on Sunday; 4 worship gatherings, milkshakes at the clubhouse, zip-lining, snow tubing, milkshakes, karaoke, meals, morning worship, milkshakes, cabin discussions, night tubing, game room fun, oh and did I mention the milkshakes?
I was amazed to see how our students dive in and take full advantage of everything that camp has to offer while also passionately worshipping God and opening their hearts and minds to what God is teaching them. As I have come to expect from overnight trips relationships were significantly deepened between our leaders and the students and between the students themselves. God is definitely at work in the lives of the students here at St. Andrew’s.
