Holiday Teacher Appreciation Luncheon at Whittier Elementary

December 26, 2014 2 Comments Share

On December 10, a St. Andrew’s women’s ministry team organized a holiday appreciation luncheon for more than 70 teachers, administrators, and additional staff at Whittier Elementary in Costa Mesa. Teachers were encouraged during this busy season by the delicious homemade meal and the team’s extreme hospitality. School Principal, Scott Wilcox, used the opportunity to celebrate the deepening relationship between St. Andrew’s and Whittier Elementary. Earlier this year, St. Andrew’s partnered with this 700+ student school to provide almost daily reading support for students in Kindergarten through the fifth grade. The purpose of the ministry is to help students read proficiently by the third grade so they can reach their full God-given potential. Read more under the “give back,” “here” tab at www.sapres.org.
