This last Sunday, we gathered after church to celebrate the Jensen Family after 6 years of ministry service. Over 100 people attended, including some of Cody’s favorite people – his high school students. Bobby McCracken remembers being part of Refuge as a high-schooler, “Cody is the reason that I’m a Christian. I came here in 7th grade to the Jr. High group and Cody discipled me all through high school. Even when I was partying and had very little faith, he was still around. I remember telling him in his office when I’d found Jesus. I’ll never forget that.”
Cody remembers having the privilege of coming alongside the students through the years, “I’ve watched students enter our ministry as 7th graders, seen them grow and mature in their faith, and am now seeing many of these same students graduate college and enter the workforce. Some of those very students are back in the area working and now serve in the high school ministry. It has been a beautiful cycle to witness.”
Cody’s wife, Roz, has been an integral part of our mom’s community on campus as well, helping to initiate the Coffee and Connections program, where moms can come together to uplift and support one another. “It started to become a little ministry of moms in the Cry Room, connecting and having our own time around our children,” Roz shares. “Being encouraged in how to raise Godly children is one of the main goals of our group.”
After a fun time sharing a meal together and visiting, Steven Good brought up Cody and Roz for a time of prayer and blessing as they head into their new calling.
