Freedom: Human Trafficking Awareness + Engagement
Human trafficking and modern slavery are devastating global realities, affecting millions through exploitation, forced labor, and sexual abuse. As Christians, we are called to stand up for the oppressed, to defend the weak and uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed. (Psalm 82:3-4).
During this gathering we will raise awareness, share the realities of local and global slavery, become trauma informed, and share the multiple ways you can actively engage and serve. The Bible calls us to defend the vulnerable, seek justice, and love our neighbors (Isaiah 1:17, Micah 6:8). Engaging in this issue is not just an act of compassion and social responsibility, but a reflection of God’s heart for justice and mercy.
You will hear from a variety of speakers and specialists in the anti-trafficking space and find out ways you can serve with several of our ministry partners, including: Finding Freedom Intl, NorthEast of the Well, Olive Crest, Orange County Rescue Mission, and John Foundation (India).
